Hey hows it going?
Not much has been happening lately really. We're hoping we can find some more shows after BOTB which was just AWESOME! And we've been busy writing our newest song, aptly entitled Crash this Party ! It's quite a bit more dancy than what we'd usually write, but it's sounding real good though. It's quite funny how our music ranges so much, from the good pop-punk tunes of Collision's, Decisions and Other Things and Can't stand to be Sleeping, to the more hard out rock of Moonlight Shadows and Break this Silence, to the more quieter I wish you were here and One to a Hundred. And that's only half of our songs!!!!!
I've been wanting to put more music on our blogs but the only way to do that is post it and that takes like an hour or so anyway. Maybe we should make another blog with just our music on it......

Photo's
Right this post goes out to Beka who takes the best pictures in the world. Practically every picture you will find on our blog is done by her!
We go on crazy photoshoots all the time and have a good laugh. Even if the pics don't turn out so good it's still fun!
Man she's good.......

Random
Randoms: n; a random stranger
Actually I just made that up.....
Randoms are pretty cool actually. You get the coolest randoms at Parachute. People who go round with cardboard signs saying "Free Hugs". Someone had a sign which said "Kiss me I'm Irish" but that was a bit to random for me!!!
Beka managed to make a random friend on Soul Purpose, which she met at Parachute.
It's quite funny if you think about it. If you're lost in a crowd, your surrounded by randoms, but to some random in the crowd YOU are the random and they're normal.
I guess what I'm trying to say here is "There is no randoms here, only friends we haven't met."
It says strangers actully but I replaced it with randoms. Cos it sounds more friendly.

I haven't written this for ages...
Hey sorrry I haven't blogged for sooooooo long! Man I've been busy! Everything just accumulates over time....
Well so far we are in the middle of the year (already!) and it's been quite a rocking year for us!
We've had three shows already, put out a minor ep, and now Dad says we can play at Parachute!!!
YUSS!
Hopefully we get a few more sh0ws this year too.
Pretty gutted we didn't get into the finals today. The other band who got in (not the screamo band, the band facing them) looked real cool, and sound better than us! They're called Without Concious Thought and are all about 15. It would have been pretty sweet to play against them....
Oh well.
Next year.

East to West
But today I feel like I'm just one mistake away
From You leaving me this way
Jesus, can You show me just how far the east is from the west
Cause I can't bear to see the man I've been
Come rising up in me again
In the arms of your mercy I find restCause you know just how far the East is from the West
From one scarred hand to the other

Battle of the Bands over!
Whoah what a weekend!
We arrived in Wellington at half five, and found the church. The soundcheck was at 6, which went well.
The show started at 7:00. There were three bands counting us. One of them , called Neon Adder went on first. They were heavy metal screamo.... man it was loud. (personally they were quite bad) I didn't hear a single word in the entire two songs!
When that was finally over, the next band, Flamingo Pink came on. They had a pink flamingo on their drumset. Apparently they found it in a garden! Haha awesome. They were real country.
Then we went on!
It was such an epic show! We kicked off with "Moonlight Shadows," which went awesome. Especially in the solo when Dan got them clapping! Jords timed his jump perfectly and we went hardout back into the last chorus. It felt sooo good. It was amazing.
Then we did "Not Forsaken," (Fight for Something that's Worth Everything), which went okay except the opening - Dan got out of time with Jords and me but we covered it up good.
Oh and Catherine came! It was good seeing someone outside the family come. Thanks!
So the judges did their results, and came onstage. They said a couple of negative things about Neon Adder, one or two about Flamingo Pink, and nothing bad about us! :)
The hardest part was waiting for the final decision. Turns out Neon adder won. I reckon they thought we'd have more chances cause we're young - and Neon Adder were all about 20 and didn't have as much chances. But thats okay. And one of the judges said I was a good as drummer! :)
Still, lots of people came up to us and told us how good we were. Pete (the main guy) said it was good having guys so young turning up and playing. And Neon Adder's drummer thought we were amazing.
We stayed the night at a friends house then left today and got back at about 4:30.
Far it was sooooooooooo awesome though. I lovelovelove being onstage!
Beka got some awesome pictures which we'll stick on our blog when we get the chance to.
It was such a mint night!
:)
